Jess Raschke + The Hearthlands

JR_1_edited_edited_edited_edited.jpg

Jess Raschke is a writer, artist and therapist with an extensive background in soulful and existential themes, particularly dying, death, bereavement and grief. The Hearthlands is the hub from which all of her services are brought together: a space of soul and substance; a place to recover meaning.

Over the years, Jess has worked in various settings, primarily writing, editing, academic research, tertiary education, community development, and creative consultation. Since training as a deathwalker with the Natural Death Care Centre and a death doula with Preparing the Way, she has worked as a funeral celebrant, death literacy advocate (Compassionate Communities), and facilitated a range of ‘Death Cafes’ and ‘Mortality and Mystery’ gatherings in the Southern Highlands of NSW.

All of her work is guided by soul-based and existential explorations into what makes for a meaningful existence. This is also richly expressed in her creative life. Learn more about her creative projects, and her eclectic professional background, at www.jessicaraschke.com
